Oil separator reservoirs (OSR)
The combined oil separator reservoirs are designed to be installed in high pressure oil management systems. The main advantages of the oil separator reservoirs are the low space consumption and mounting effort.
In contrast to conventional oil separators they do not possess an internal float valve. The types OSR are equipped with sight glasses and a shut-off valve. For the design of high pressure oil management systems suitable electronic oil level regulators type ERM6.. are available.
Operation with hazardous fluids: ESK oil separator reservoirs of type OSR are approved as standard for refrigerants of safety classes A1, A2, A2L and A3 (in accordance with DIN EN 378); an approval for refrigerants of safety classes B1, B2 and B2L (R717, R723) is possible and must be requested explicitly!
The devices of type OSR-21.. can be approved for fluid group 1 refrigerants on request and must be ordered with the suffix -FL1.
Installation and start up: During the start up of the system the oil reservoir should be charged with compressor refrigeration oil up to the upper sight glass. The charging can be done via the oil separator part. Oil should only recharged if the oil level drops below the lower sight glass.
