Components
General
The liquid receiver acts as a stock of liquid refrigerant for the evaporators. However, the receiver should be sized to hold the full system charge during service work.
Selection
The receiver should be sized according to the amount of refrigerant in the plant. The maximum admissible volume of liquid refrigerant for each size of receiver is shown in the table –Technical Data–. If the system charge is
not known, guidelines for receiver selection can be found in the diagram.
